Show off/show and read out/read
Hello,
1) I was reading a newspaper article and Ii was written:
"It seems to be the fashion to show your brand name underpants off by wearing trousers on the hip."
If I'd had to write the article I'd have written:
"It seems to be the fashion to show your brand name underpants by wearing trousers on the hip."
It's necessary to write "show off". What's the difference between show and show off ?
2) I have another question of the same kind
"The circular was read out by the teachers in every class"
Is it wrong if we put just read and not read out? what's the difference?

The two situations are a bit different. I would have written show because it is being used in the sense of 'display'. You might show-off by showing your underpants.
