Shouldn't it be "rob us of our lives"

These devils and demons prevent us from practising the true teaching that will enable us to attain Buddhahood. Furthermore, they deprive us of benefits and good karma, rob our lives, destroy our country, and lead us into the hell of incessant suffering after death.

Is the part in bold OK? Shouldn't it be "rob us of our lives"?

Thanks.
