I sometimes see the following phrase regarding a company.

Established since 1950.

Shouldn't it be "in" instead?

No, not if it is a logo. "in" will be incorrect.
You may have something like this however:
The company was established in 1950 by a few college graduates ......

I agree with you.
"Established in 1950" makes much more sense.

Even "Since 1950" would work - as in "We've been serving our customers since 1950."

(Maybe they were barely limping along for 15 years before that, but in 1950, they became "established.")

But you'll see all sorts of things.
