Should we have single career or several ones?

Some people believe that being devoted to one profession is an obsolete idea. In the world that is full of rapid changes, I think having plenty of jobs are considered to be a popular way to get money and cultivate life-long education. These theses will be supported by some following reasons.

In the first place, this era is a ground-breaking one with tons of development in technology. Thus, some of the useful inventions are starting to reform the labor market. For instance, traditional motorbike taxis are replaced by modern types like Uber or Grab. A lot of drivers become unemployed because they can not use smartphones. If these drivers continue to follow their only career, they can not be able to have constant income. Besides, sticking to one job only is also a barrier for people’ ability, when they can hardly to learn other things but their specialty.

This leads to the other thesis, which is having several jobs might be a better way to adapt to the changes. In stead of having one steady job like prior generation, nowadays, the young can do many tasks simultaneously. The world changes everyday, some certain professions may be replaced by the new ones. In addition, doing a lot of jobs, seeing things in different aspects might build up a brilliant background of knowledge for each person.

To summary, being specialized in one career is not so popular now, and in order to face the challenging world and to advance intellect, people should consider doing different tasks.
