Should this word have "s" with it ?

Sentence: "She abuses religions because she is an atheist."

Question: Should the word religion have "s" at its end ? Is the above sentence correct ?

The sentence is fine grammatically. Religion is countable. There is more than one religion!

The sentence is fine grammatically. Religion is countable. There is more than one religion! What is really meant may not be instantly intelligible, but that is another matter!
