Should this sentence be fixed?

"Their helicopter touched down on a private landing pad of the hotel's roof, complete with its own team of guards to keep away unwanted guests."

The way the sentence is set up, is it incorrect to have the portion after the comma refer to the roof and not the helicopter (the subject of the sentence)?

If it is incorrect, what's the best way to fix it?

You might try this: Their helicopter, complete with its own team of guards to keep away unwanted guests, touched down on a private landing pad on the roof of the hotel. CJ

Heh, I actually meant the sentence to say something different, which I suppose is proof enough that it needs work. I meant to say that the roof of the hotel had its own team of guards.
