Should the sentences need "the"?

Hi,

Question:
The following sentences are found from newspaper.
I think the blue text should need "the", because the nouns are specific.
Ie, "talks" and "analysis" are specific.
Why doesn't the writer say after the talks and based on the analysis?

Sentence1:

China's deputy foreign minister Fu Ying revealed the scale of the deals to reporters after talks between the presidents and a signing ceremony at the Elysee Palace, where a state banquet was held.

Sentence2:
The prediction is based on analysis by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which measures cycles of economic activity globally.

Thanks
