Should the government supports art institutions such museums, theaters?

Hello,Is my paragraph OK.  In my view, government should support art institutions for two reasons. First, it is important that the younger generations know what culture, heritage and history we come from. For example, since the Islamic revolution in Iran, many historical artifacts have been smuggled from museums and sold to wealthy collectors or destroyed deliberately since the regime doesn't like the younger generations learn about Persian history and culture. Second, it is vital to keep our culture the alive. For example, since the main goal of the regime is to replace the Arabic culture with Persian culture whenever there is a concert or program in the theater, they attack to theaters and bit artists and spectators. Thank you for your time and effort.
