"Should" plus verb tense.

Hi I want to ask which one is correct?

(1) "should your client fail to do this" or

(2) "should your client fails to do this".

To me I thought the #1 would be correct. But someone else used #2 instead.

Thanks for the help. Emotion: smile

Your 'someone' else is wrong. 'Should', as with all the auxiliary verbs, is followed by the base or dictionary form of the main verb.
