The society would benefit from a ban on all forms of advertising because it serves no useful purpose, and can even be damaging. Do you agree or disagree?
It seems that the commercial industry has had a significant impact on society. While there is a school of thought that says banning all kinds of useless and harmful advertisements is necessary due to their social benefits, I firmly disagree with it.
One of the primary reasons is that prohibiting advertising is more likely to generate various drawbacks than advantages. If a ban on all types of advertisements is enacted, it will lead to the demise of commercial companies, which will have a significant impact on other industrial sectors related to advertising services. Furthermore, people who work in these services can be unemployed, which leads to an increase in unemployment rates in the community. As a result, society might suffer from those terrible consequences and burdens when it comes to banning advertisements.
Another reason is that advertisements are beneficial for not only consumers but also businesses. Customers do have more opportunities to recognize a brand or product as a result of advertisements, which also helps sellers improve their ability to approach potential buyers. For example, a company that uses advertisements to introduce its new goods into the market is likely to succeed more than one that ignores the positive effects of commercial services. Thus, they are able to expand the scale of the company, which benefits their community by creating more job opportunities and paying more tax revenues.
In conclusion, I strongly disagree with the viewpoint that all types of advertisements that are useless and pointless should be banned, owing to the benefits that people have on the job market and other social contributions.
