Should like vs would like

Hi.

I should also like to say... .
I would also like to say... .

What's the difference between the above sentences?

There is no difference in meaning, but should is possible instead of would only in the first persons, in other words, with I and we. In modern English it is rather rarely used in this way and this usage has almost entirely disappeared from American English.

"Should like to say" is an old-fashioned and more formal version of "Would like to say."
