Should it be 'We all are' or 'We are all'

Can someone please advice which of the following sentence is more accurate.

1. We all are in the hospital.

2. We are all in the hospital.

I heard that native English speakers prefer to use sentence 2 more. Why is it so?

#1 is dialectical.
#2 is more conventional. We are all (together) in the hospital. We were all taken to the hospital.
Neither is the most common. This is better:

All of us are in the hospital.

The word "all" is redundant and should be omitted. Just write:

We are in the hospital.

Not necessarily. That depends on the context.

I suppose if we want to stress that everyone is in the hospital, then okay, I suppose. But I usually avoid using redundant words.

If we want to stress or make it clear that everyone is in hospital, then 'all' is not redundant.
