Should it be pretty or beautiful? Should "king" be in upper case?

Once upon a time, there was a king named Prasenajit. He had a daughter named Zenko. She was intelligent and pretty/beautiful. Her parents cherished her very much and she was loved by everyone in her castle.

One day, Zenko’s father, the King, told her, “You are loved by everyone in my castle because of my power.”

Should king shown in bold be in upper case?

Thanks.

Words like king, queen, president and pope are normally capitalized only when the name is mentioned as well. The pope before Pope Francis was Pope Benedict.

I don't know where I was coming from with the above remark. I think I was just thinking of the use of pretty with the appearance of the girl. Not limited to girls. Sorry!
