Should I use an Oxford comma when writing fiction in the UK?

I have already asked a question about the Oxford comma and when to use it. I guess the question I wanted answering was this:

When writing fiction in the UK, should you or should you not use an Oxford comma in your writing? Or, does it not matter either way? What would a publisher prefer?

Thanks

Heathside Boy When writing fiction in the UK, should you or should you not use an Oxford comma in your writing? The Oxford Guide to Style (2002) recommends, unsurprisingly, using that comma. This so-called Oxford comma took its name from the guide's publisher, the Oxford University Press, who by their own report have been recommending it for a hundred years.
