HongkieShuld I use a singular or plural noun after "a kind of" and "the kind of"?I'm not sure, but I always use singular noun after "kind of".
e.g. Tigers are a kind of fierce animal/animals.
He is the kind of man/men who would fight for his belief.
Thank you.
HongkieI understand that we should say "this kind of things" and "these kinds of things". But how about "the kind of"? Should we say "the kind of man" or "the kind of Men"?One of the preceding answers got it right. "this kind of thing" - a singular "kind" has a singular "thing". "these kinds of things" - a plural "kinds" takes a plural "things"
