Should I say 'compared' or 'have been compared,' 'other athletes' or 'others,' 'remain' or 'who remain' in the sentence below?

Should I say 'compared' or 'have been compared,' 'other athletes' or 'others,' 'remain' or 'who remain' in the sentence below? My choices are 'have been compared,' 'other athletes,' and 'remain,' but are these correct?

Worth mentioning are those Olympic athletes who have been defeated and (compared, have been compared) to (other athletes, others) but (remain, who remain) calm.
