Should I say 'and' or 'or' in the sentence?

Should I say 'and' or 'or' in the sentence? My personal choice is the first one. Is it correct?

Mr. Johnson has said that the healthy lifestyles of schoolchildren (and, or) students need to be nourished.

That sentence is unnatural. Use either "schoolchildren" or "students". Also, I would write "Mr Johnson has said that it is important to ...". Try again.
