Should I re-word it?

Hi!

should I re-word it?

Wisdom does not lie in one’s ability not to make mistakes but rather in one’s skill to resolve situation after a mistake with one’s dignity and common sense intact.

Thank you!

As a sentence, I'd write Wisdom does not lie in one’s ability not to make mistakes, but rather in one’s skill at resolving the situation after a mistake with one’s dignity and common sense intact . I'm not sure about the common sense part. Perhaps the sentence would be improved if it omitted it.
