Should I pplace a comma after 'region'?

I think it would be a good idea in order to break up the two different information segments but I wasn't sure if it waa uneccesary.

Yes, But in particular I would do that because of the presence of the two and's.
To my mind, the comma helps the reader to quickly grasp the structure of the sentence.
