Should I omit the word 'medals' after the phrase 'none of these'?

Is this sentence of mine acceptable? Should I omit the word 'medals' after the phrase 'none of these'? Please help me. Thank you.

I tried to look everywhere for the medal of valor and many other medals of honor that my grandfather had received before, but unfortunately I found none of these medals, and nobody could tell what had become of these medals.
