Should I follow my own dream even though my family don't want me to?

I have a dream, I want to become an artist, a freelance, I wanna make a lot of money with my ability, with my drawing skills but no one in my family wants me to follow this kind of job. They said artist won't success, they don't usually make money even for themselves. I know some of the artists I know used to think about giving up their dream, their will to try, I don't wanna be like that but I also don't wanna make my family disappointed about me, they're the ones who are taking care of me after all. But I really have to give up my dream?! I can't live without drawing for one day, who can I suppose to quit?! It's my life, it's my passion, it's my dream. It's too difficult for me to give up... What should I do now?
