Dear teachers,

Could you possibly check if my sentences below are ok?:

Yesterday Mr Hung's company terminated his employment contract. The company should have informed Mr Hung of its decision to terminate his contract one month in advance /one month early/ one month earlier/one month before as stipulated by the current labour law, but it (the company) didn't.

Thank you in advance

I would prefer: "The company should have given Mr Hung one month's notice of its decision to terminate his contract as stipulated by the current law, but it (the company) did not."

But how about in other situations where we don't use "notice?:

A: Hello, Could you lend me $ 1000 ?
B: Sorry, I didn't know you would be borrowing my money today, so I did not go to the bank to take my money. You should have told me at least two days in advance/two days early/two days
