The pharaoh Khamun’s reign was between the time period of 1334 – 1325 BC. During the latter part of his reign, he fell seriously ill and was confined to his bed. During this time Khamun wanted his god son, Thamuk to be by his side at all times. Few hours before his death he tried to reveal to Thamuk that he will be the one to inherit his kingdom, after his death. However he was unable to do so. Having known before hand that Thamuk was too young to rule, the pharaoh prepared his last will which had been written on papyrus due to its longevity to last. The will included information about who would inherit his kingdom and property however it was kept hidden as many wanted to destroy it and usurp his kingdom even when he was living. Besides the mummy of Khamun in his sarcophagus, the hidden will rested. However not a single soul got their hands on it for years except for thamuk who once visited his god father when he was older, and accidentally came across it. As mentioned in the will, Thamuk became the ruler and had won the hearts of his people. A hieroglyph was made in his memory as one of the greatest rulers.
