Short Research Paragragphs, Please Help Edit Grammar

Hi, I wrote these paragraphs awhile back for school, and please correct my grammar so I could improve on it! Please and thank you!!

Emily was born in Victoria, British Columbia on December 13, 1871. Most of her work was heavily inspired by First Nation culture. At most time she used watercolor which then transition to oil on paper as her favorite art medium. Early in her life she worked in France to gain insights of artistic trends. She was inspired by Harry Gibb’s landscape work; his technique was heavily on vibrant colors. She adapted this new technique into her work, as well with indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast. She was famous for originality and strength; she used her work to expressed the First Nation culture which created awareness from “north to south; the west to the east” (Wikipedia, 2013). Her work speaks out of her love of nature, beyond of our experience, and awareness of place in the world. In her artwork, there are vibrant colors (blue, yellow, etc), lots of highlights in the sky to resembles light or God’s shine of light. She emphasized gloomy mood in her art as dark shaded area, as an example it could be the path leading into the forest. The combination of all her inspiration which created individual own unique work.
