short or brief ?

Hello!

Is it right to say :

- Our time is too short (or brief ?) to visit all these countries in only three weeks .

- Everybody knows that smoking is not good for health. So to stop smoking I have to make use of my good sense. And so do you!

Thanks,

Leo

Either short or brief is fine in the first sentence. In the second sentence, I'd re-write it as follows: "Everyone knows that smoking is not good for one's health. " "Common sense" sounds better than "good sense" in the example you gave.
