Short on vs short of

Hey everybody,

I was just wondering what preposition would be appropriate to use with "short." If I were to convey a lack of resources, for example, would I use "short on supplies" or "short of supplies"?

Thank you!

Hi, I suggest 'short of'. 'Short on' is casual and a bit slang-y. Clive
