Short of / on

We will be more then happy if you join us as an editor, as we are short of / on editors.

Which preposition is correct, please?

I couldn't decide as I've seen both prepositions being used here.

Thanks.

It's "of". "Short on" is pejorative—"She is really good-looking, but she is short on charm."
