Short of less than

What is the natural way to say this? How would you say 1 and 2? Are both used? Are both words natural?

A parent is talking to the her son:

I want you to become a doctor a lawyer or a businessman.
1 I won't accept anything less than /short of that.
2 Anything less than short of that in I will be disappointed.
