short form

Shall I know,

(a) What is the short form of "S.O.S"?

(b) What is the opposite meaning of "saviour"?

Top answer

a - I don't see how you could have a short form of three initials? It's the morse code distress symbol. b - I wouldn't say there is an exact antonym for saviour.

IT doesn't officially stand for anything, it's just a simple morse code signal, that is easy to remember/recognise, and has a simple repetitive pattern of three dots, three dashes, and three dots.It also can't be confused with a real word. People like to create meanings for it though, so you'll hear that it stands for Save our Souls, etc. Wiki has a good article about it.
