Short for "person in charge of ..."?

Question

Is there a shorter formulation for the descriptions below? I'm looking for something that would look good in lists and fit in a table cell.

Person in charge of test tools
Person in charge of debugging and flashing
The area in question is software and hardware testing.

In Finnish we'd say what could be directly but (as I understand)incorrectly Englished as "test tool responsible" ja "debugging and flashing responsible".

I assume that "flashing" is a jargon term in software and hardware testing. In English, a person that "flashes" is a person that momentarily bares parts of his or her body.
A buxom female hardware tester that flashes would be a distraction in any office. A welcome distraction, but a distraction.

Within a company, the words "expert", "engineer", "manager" or "foreman" are used.
"Expert" is used for a specialised technical field within the company. Thus, when I was still employed by National Power (a British company that operated power stations, which now has been sold and has changed its name), I was the Tariff Metering Expert. Or perhaps just the tariff metering expert, without the capital letters. I was also referred to as the Tariff Metering Engineer. See next item.
"Engineer" is also used for a specialised technical field. This term is interchangeable with "expert", but is more likely to be used if there are several such experts within the company. Thus, we had two Protection Engineers, one of whom was the Substation Protection Expert, the other the Generator Protection Expert. To a large extent, each of these experts could do the work of the other, during summer holidays, etc.

"Manager" has its obvious meaning.
"Foreman" is the term used for the person who controls the resource of a small team of workers. These workers might be anything from a group of unskilled general labourers, right up to a team of highly skilled machinists in an engineering workshop.

In charge has the abbreviation I/C, so:
I/C TT
I/C D&F (if space is a problem, the ampersand could be omitted to give I/C DF.)
The OP's usage of "responsible" for the person in charge is of interest in that, while it isn't used that way in English, it parallels the French usage of "responsable".

These titles would fit nicely in 3-line column headers: "Test Tools Leader" and "Debug & Flash Leader". (Or "Lead" if more compactness is needed.)

Chief may meet your need (chief tester, chief debugger.) It is the usual word for someone who both does the work and has administrative authority over others doing the same work (as distinct from a foreman, who may not do the same work as the men he supervises.)
