Shoot

Hi,

Is the word choice "shoot" appropriate in the following context?

The visibility of the security printing on the box is largely dependent on the lighting conditions and the angle of the shoot (= the angle at which the photo was taken.)

Thanks!

'Shoot' maybe technical jargon used in this way by photographers, but more standard English is to refer to a photo as a shot. ie . and the angle of the shot Clive

"angle of the shot" would be more appropriate.

A "shot" is one picture, whereas a "shoot" is a session during which a whole set of pictures are taken.
