Shoeses

One of my neighbors is having a Garage Sale. Sale items include: "Clothes, shoeses, babyclothes, bikes". I had to get pretty close to the sign to read shoeses. It's hard to type, you know?

  • Did they also have pantses available?

This was explained to me thus: it would be pointless to ask about both of them, because, finding one, you've found the other. (Explained by a person who considered the plural of "Kleenex" to be "Kleenices.")

I, too, looked that one up. I could have sworn that "shoeses" was in there but it isn't.
