Shined vs Shone

Which are correct?

The sun shone/shined down on me.

The sun shone/shined on the mountain.

She shone/shined his shoes.

He was outshined / outshone.

For the first two only 'shone' is correct; in the fourth, it's 'outshone'. 'Shone' is correct in the third, but so is 'shined' in BrE.
