Shelter from the sun

One person is sitting on a bench with the sun shinning his face. Another person is standing facing the person on the bench with his back to the sun. The person on the bench is blinded by the sun.

Is it correct to say "Could you move over to shelter me from the sun ray."? How would you say this?

Thank you
