According to the Oxford Practice Grammar (advanced) book:
"We usually include that in formal uses (6), after nouns(7), and when a phrase (8) or a clause (9) comes between the verb and that-clause.

Could anyone tell me more about the 8 and 9 cases?
Can we use 'that' immediately after discover, instead of after a phrase?
Can we use 'that' immediately after forgot ?
Are the following correct as well?
