She was very curious as to whose autobiography.......

Hi

Could you please tell me which of the following is the most natural way to say this?

She was very curious as to whose autobiography he had been looking for for so many days.

She was very curious about whose autobiography he had been looking for for so many days.

She was very curious regarding whose autobiography he had been looking for for so many days.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Tom

'For for' bothers me in all of them, but I see no solution. I like #1 best.

My suggestion would be, "She was very curious for whose autobiography he had been looking for so many days."

But if you want to use one of your three options, either of the first two work, but not "regarding."

Ouch! That one gives me a headache, KJin. 'Curious for' is not possible, I think.

'about' seems pretty natural to me, but there's nothing incorrect about the others. 'regarding' doesn't strike me as the best choice.

'to know' would do just as well. ... curious to know whose autobiography ...
