Absolutely. But this can be a subtle thing. If the label is neutral, or something which some would consider good and others would consider bad; "stereotyped" would imply the bad connotation.

No, not really. Stereotyping to me is of a more complex set of qualities: He was stereotyped as a bigot/womanizer/nerd/egghead/high flyer/etc.
