She was quite modest about her success even though it netted her a million pounds in prize money.

Hello.

The below sentence is not easy for me and I would like to make sure I understand it fully:

She was quite modest about her success even though it netted her a million pounds in prize money.

a) Is it grammatically correct?
b) Should we put a comma before 'even though'?
c) Is it correct to say 'in prize money'? I understand that 'prize money' is money that you win as a prize.
d) Does this sentence mean that her success let her earn a million pounds as a prize?
