Hello.

What is the difference in meaning between b) and c) :

a) She is now the president elect.

b) She was now the president elect.

c) She was then the president elect.

a) She is now the president elect. She is the president elect at this moment at which I am speaking.
b) She was now the president elect. She [was / had just become] the president elect at this point in the story which I am telling.
c) She was then the president elect.
