She is failing her Journalism course.

Is this sentence grammatically correct? is it ok to use 'progressive form (is failing)' in this context?? If it's ok, what does it mean? can I understand it as "she' not doing well in her Journalism class??

If it's ok, what does it mean? She is in the process of failing at the present time. She hasn't finished failing yet.

Consider, eg She is falling from a tree. (She hasn't hit the ground yet)
