Hi
Is this sentence natural English? Any other suggestions please?
She has been getting by on a meagre amount received randomly from her three siblings.
or this?
She has been getting by on a meagre amount received from her three siblings off and on.
Thanks,
Tom
The first is more natural than the second. I'd go with this: She has been getting by on the meager amount she receives from her three siblings from time to time. (Excuse the American spelling.
