I'd like to know what's the difference between : She had and She has had. If you guys could give me an example that would be nice. Thank you

[ Here, the verb (have) is finished and it has no present significance.]


She has had a pet cat for three years.

[ Here, the verb (have) started in the past and continues into the present.]
