'she' for ships, boats and countries

Can we use the pronoun 'she' for a ship, boat and country?

Many thanks.

Certainly "she" is used for ships and boats. I just don't know about countries. It would sound rather poetic to me.

It's fascinating - we talk of our Mother Country, and our Fatherland. Go figure!
