She...

I've heard on movies pirates say about whales 'she's gonna blow'.
But that doesn't necessarily mean the whale is female, right?
So, my question is: Does that apply here as well?
Hippos are strictly vegetarians. She hasn't come for a share of the spoils.
Why she intrudes in this way is a mystery. She is more powerful than the crocs
and her dominance over them is absolute.

Piratea are also prone to saying 'She's sinking', but that doesn't mean the ship is female. Emotion: stick out tongue
