Shared noun

Hi everyone,

I have a question about the idea of shared nouns in English. Please take a look at the following sentence.

Taking drugs is detrimental to our bodies

vs

Taking drugs is detrimental to our body.

Which one is more appropriate if I want to express the idea that drugs do damages to everyone's body.

I would like to improve my English.

Would you please also help me correct any of my grammatical mistakes in the post?

Thank you very much

Kenny
