Share for emphasis?

Hi. For the definite articles in parentheses, I think they could be placed if one desires to emphasize the respective elements. Am I correct? Or is it just an option with no real (practical?) effect that a person who's writing it has. Thank you in advance for your help.

They were sent by the restaurant owners, (the) bakers, and (the) cooks.
