Vocabulary

Shallow

Hi,

What does the italicized word mean in the following sentence?

"He flashes me a final, dazzling smile.'People think we're shallow, but really, we're not,' he says."
Does that mean "silly"?

Thank you in advance,

Iman

Hi mistre Micawbre,

Thank you very much for your time and reply.
So "silly" is not irrelevant to the point, is it?

Regards,

Iman

Hard to tell outside the context. Silly people are often shallow and vice versa.
