"shall" is also use for "We", but "shall" is more formal.

(1) According to the rules, there is a difference between shall and will.

(a) For I and we, the rule is: shall is used for the simple future.

(i) It is now 6 p.m., so I shall now eat my dinner.

will is used for volition (when you are determined to do something).

When you have the will to do something.

(i) Tom told me not to do that. I do not care what he said.

I will do it!!!

(2) Here in the United States, most people do not follow this

rule. They use will for both the future and volition.

(3) Therefore, I think that most Americans would say:

We will make the following main points... .

(4) Americans usually use shall for questions:

The music is nice. Shall we dance?

Yes. It's the same structure, although the meaning of "make" is different. If you make a point, you use words and/or images to explain the point. If you make a desk, you use materials like wood.
