Shakespeare's Shall I Compare Thee...

0 hi all,02br
02br
00 I'm writing a response on Shakespeare's sonnet 'Shall I compare thee to a summer's day.02br
00 There's one line in this poem was I really don't understand:02br
02br
01b00And Summer's lease hath all too short a date.02b02br
02br
00 Can anyone explain me what this sentence means?02br

00 P.S. this is the whole poem:02br
02br
00 Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day?02br
00 Thou art more lovely and more temperate:02br
00 Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,02br
00 And Summer's lease hath all too short a date:02br
00 Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,02br
00 And oft' is his gold complexion dimm'd;02br
00 And every fair from fair sometime declines,02br
00 By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd:02br
00 But thy eternal Summer shall not fade02br
00 Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;02br
00 Nor shall Death brag thou wanderest in his shade,02br
00 When in eternal lines to time thou growest:02br
02br
00 So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,02br
00 So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.02br

0Hello Vince02br
02br
00That's right – summer is brief. 02br
02br
00If a lease has a "short date", it means that it will expire soon. 02br
