What's sex outside marriage? extra-marrital sex or extra and pre marital sex?

To me it means having *** with someone while you're not married -- either to them or to anyone else.

I wouldn't use the term to refer to a married person having *** with someone other than their spouse, and "pre-marital ***" does not seem an exact synonym because that implies you are going to marry your partner at some point in the future (which may not be the case).

I agree with whoever it was who said it was any type of *** outside the sanctioned state of matrimonial bliss.

If you are 16 and not yet married, you can have "*** outside of marriage" by having pre-marital ***.

If you are 41 and divored and enjoying your freedom, you can have "*** outside of marriage" by having *** with anyone you can get your hands one.
